44-year-old Antonio Fernandez (Rogers, AR) was fatally injured an ATV accident that occurred on Sunday, August 11, 2019.
At approximately 9:18 p.m. Mr. Fernandez was driving an ATV (2012 Arctic Cat Wild Cat ATV) south on Dale Shrader Road in Pea Ridge. When Mr. Fernandez attempted to navigate a sharp curve, his ATV slid sideways before striking a tree.
According to a police report, Mr. Fernandez was thrown from the ATV before the ATV spun and flipped upside down landing on top of Mr. Fernandez. Mr. Fernandez became unresponsive after being freed by deputies and was transported by medical to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
An unidentified female minor was a passenger on the ATV at the time of the accident and suffered injuries.
