40-year-old Julio C. Mieres Capote (Baytown, TX) and 48-year-old Cynthia Marie Napier (Waldron, AR) were fatally injured in an accident on Wednesday, June 27.
At approximately 12:50 p.m., Mr. Capote was southbound on State Highway 21 in a 1998 Kenworth semi-truck. Ms. Napier was northbound on State Highway 21 in a 2005 Honda along with two unnamed minors. Mr. Capote’s 18-wheeler overturned after crossing the centerline and over-correcting. The semi-truck slid into Ms. Napier’s vehicle.
Conditions at the time were reportedly clear and dry.
The two minors were transported to Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock.
