Collision on Huntsville Road in Fayetteville Claims Life of Donald Hoodenpyle

85-year-old Donald Hoodenpyle lost his life in a two-vehicle collision on Wednesday, April 4th. At approximately 3:50 p.m., Mr. Hoodenpyle was attempting to turn left onto State Highway 16 (Huntsville Drive) in a 2002 Buick Regal. Mr. Hoodenpyle failed to yield to a Dodge Ram traveling east on Highway 16. The Dodge Ram, driven by Dennis Peek, of Elkins, Arkansas, struck the left side of Mr. Hoodenpyle’s Buick. Mr. Peek, along with a passenger in the Buick, Michael Standridge, were both injured and transported to Washington Regional Medical Center.

Conditions at the time were reportedly clear and dry.
