Stanley Bruce Burton Jr., 55, of Maumelle, Arkansas was traveling west in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 40 near Lonoke late Friday night, January 26th. Near 11:45 p.m., Mr. Burton’s 2013 Ford Taurus struck an eastbound GMC Acadia. Mr. Burton’s injuries proved fatal.
An additional, unnamed person was injured in the accident. It is still unclear why Mr. Burton’s vehicle was going the wrong direction on I-40. Conditions at the time were reportedly clear and dry.
