Woman Struck on Highway 167 in Cave City
40-year-old William Hollingsworth (Owasso, Oklahoma) was fatally injured in an accident on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.
At approximately 4:30 a.m. Mr. Hollingsworth was traveling east on Highway 412 east of Siloam Springs when an 18-wheeler (2019 Freightliner) entered the highway from the shoulder. According to the report, “[the 18-wheeler] was getting up to speed from entering the highway. [Mr. Hollingsworth’s vehicle] failed to slow in time” and Mr. Hollingsworth’s vehicle (2018 Isuzu) collided with the rear of the trailer being hauled by the Freightliner.
