Hit & Run Near Opello, AR Fatally Injures Pedestrian on Hwy 9

32-year-old Travis Frank Sponer (Opello, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Tuesday, May 17, 2022.

At approximately midnight Mr. Sponer was walking along State Highway 9 near Oates Road when a northbound vehicle (unknown make & model) struck Mr. Travis Sponer from behind with the front passenger side of the vehicle. Mr. Sponer was knocked from the roadway. The vehicle fled the scene.
