Train Strikes Vehicle in Arkansas, Claiming Driver's Life & Injuring Passenger

77-year-old Carole M. Perry (Memphis, TN) was fatally injured in an accident that occurred on Friday, October 5.

At approximately 2:15 p.m., Ms. Perry was driving east on County Road 358 in Cross County near Vanndale, Arkansas. 37-year-old Lillian Perry (Memphis, TN) was a passenger in the vehicle. Ms. Perry attempted to cross a railroad crossing but failed to yield to a southbound train. Her 2016 Subaru Forrester was struck by the train.

Ms. Carole Perry was fatally injured in the accident; passenger Lillian Perry was transported to Regional One Medical Center with injuries.
