Fatal Collision on US 79 Near Pine Bluff, AR
69-year-old Terry R. Engles (Mt. Pleasant, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Saturday, February 4, 2023.
At approximately 7:43 a.m. Mr. Engles was traveling south on State Highway 69 in Independence County when his vehicle crossed the centerline. Mr. Engles’ vehicle (2001 Chevy S-10) collided head-on with a northbound vehicle (2001 Chevy Silverado) in the northbound lanes of traffic. Mr. Engles sustained fatal injuries in the collision.
32-year-old Patrick M. Thorburn (Melbourne, AR) was driving the northbound vehicles and sustained injuries in the collision.
Those injured were transported to UAMS in Little Rock.
