Rickey Russell Fatally Injured After Vehicle Runs Stop Sign

41-year-old Rickey Russell (Lepanto, AR) was fatally injured after a vehicle failed to yield at a stop sign and collided with Mr. Russell’s vehicle. The accident took place on Saturday, September 1.

At approximately 6:30 a.m., Mr. Russell was traveling south on Highway 135 in Poinsett County. A second vehicle (2016 Volvo) traveling west on Highway 118 failed to yield at the stop sign at Highway 135 and traveled into the path of Mr. Russell’s 2006 Ford.

Mr. Russell was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Volvo was not injured in the accident.

Conditions at the time were reportedly clear and dry.
