2 Lives Lost in Arkansas Collision on Saturday
67-year-old Michael Van Bokhoven (Maumelle, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that took place on Tuesday, July 28, 2020.
At approximately 2:48 p.m. Mr. Van Bokhoven was traveling west on Highway 89 (Arkansas River Trail) near Mayflower when the front end of Mr. Van Bokhoven’s motorcycle (2020 Harley Davidson) struck the front end of an eastbound vehicle (2009 Chevrolet Traverse) “on the centerline of the highway.” Following the initial collision, Mr. Van Bokhoven’s motorcycle was struck by a westbound vehicle (2018 Toyota Corolla) following behind Mr. Van Bokhoven.
Weather conditions were cloudy and road conditions dry at the time of the accident.
