Driver Arrested After Striking Pedestrians in Gulfport

77-year-old Marjorie Freeman (North Carolina) was fatally injured in an accident that took place on Sunday, March 28, 2021.

Shortly after 7:30 p.m. Ms. Freeman and a second pedestrian were struck by a vehicle (Jeep) traveling west on U.S. Highway 90 near Pratt Avenue at Gulfport Beach. The second unidentified victim was airlifted with injuries to a hospital in Mobile, Alabama.

57-year-old Michael Robin Kirgan (Illinois) was arrested by the Gulfport Police Department on two charges of leaving the scene of the incident.
