Wrong Way Vehicle on I-40 Leads to Fatal Wreck
39-year-old Kristi M. Spurlin (Batesville, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that occurred on Sunday, November 10, 2019.
At approximately 2:41 p.m. Ms. Spurlin was driving south on U.S. Highway 167 north of Pleasant Plains when her vehicle (2017 Chevrolet Colorado) crossed the centerline and collided with a northbound vehicle (2011 GMC pick-up truck).
Driver, 45-year-old Robert L. Leonard (Batesville, AR), and passenger, 35-year-old Kelly L. Leonard (Batesville, AR), were traveling in the northbound GMC vehicle and both injured in the accident.
Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
