Itawamba & Monroe County Police Chase Results in Biker's Death

29-year-old Joel Davis Jr. (Mooreville, MS) was fatally injured in an accident that occurred on Wednesday, August 21, 2019.

At approximately 4:00 p.m. Mr. Davis was traveling on New Chapel Road in Itawamba County when Itawamba County Sheriff’s Department attempted to pull Mr. Davis over for speeding. Mr. Davis led law enforcement through southwest Itawamba County and into Monroe County before losing control of his motorcycle on Bigbee Road.

Mr. Davis lost control of his motorcycle in loose gravel while crossing over Highway 6 onto Bigbee Road.
