Fatal Collision on US 79 Near Pine Bluff, AR
71-year-old James Andrew Dickey (Columbus, AR) and 19-year-old Thomas Scott Fling (Williford, AR) were both fatally injured in an accident that occurred on Tuesday, February 11, 2020.
At approximately 5:14 p.m. Mr. Dickey was traveling south on U.S. Highway 63 and Mr. Fling was traveling north on U.S. Highway 63 when, according to the report, Mr. Fling’s vehicle “crossed the center line and went into the inside southbound lane and struck [Mr. Dickey’s vehicle] head-on.”
69-year-old Brenda Johnson Dickey (Columbus, AR) was a passenger in Mr. Dickey’s vehicle (2015 Ford F150). 18-year-old Jacob Bryce Edwards (Hardy, AR) was a passenger in Mr. Fling’s vehicle (1995 Chevrolet S-10). Both were transported with injuries.
