Highway 65 Wreck Fatally Injures Derinda Baker

65-year-old Derinda Baker (Leslie, AR) was fatally injured in a wreck that took place on Monday, April 1, 2019.

At approximately 2:08 p.m. Ms. Baker was a passenger in a 2009 Chevrolet vehicle traveling north on Highway 65 near Marshall. The driver, 28-year-old Britany Jeter (Marshall, AR), lost control of the vehicle near Backbone Mountain and left the highway hitting the bluff wall.

23-year-old Jessie Davis (Marshall, AR) was also a passenger in the vehicle. Those injured were transported to Cox South Medical Center in Springfield.

Weather conditions at the time of the accident were cloudy and road conditions were dry.
