87-year-old Geraldine W. Azil (Ash Flat, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Saturday, May 25, 2024.

At approximately 11:15 a.m. Ms. Azil was the passenger in a vehicle (2019 Buick) traveling south on U.S. 62 in Cherokee Village. A vehicle (2022 Dodge Ram) traveling north attempted to make a lefthand turn onto Highway 175. Ms. Azil’s vehicle collided with the Dodge vehicle in the southbound lane of traffic. Ms. Azil sustained fatal injuries in the collision.

89-year-old Billy D. Azil (Ash Flat, AR) sustained injuries in the collision. Additionally, 42-year-old Brent A. Figgins (Cherokee Village, AR) sustained injuries in the accident. Those injured were transported to White River Medical Complex in Cherokee Village and UAMS in Little Rock.
