Mountain Pine Car Accident Proves Fatal on Sunday

33-year-old Frederick Bergey (Mountain Pine, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Sunday, February 26, 2023.

Shortly after 9:00 p.m. Mr. Bergey was traveling south on Arkansas Highway 227 in Mountain Pine when his vehicle (2005 Jeep) left the roadway to the right. Mr. Bergey’s vehicle reentered the highway before leaving the roadway the opposite direction. His vehicle once again reentered the highway before spinning and striking a tree to the right.

Road conditions were wet at the time of the accident.

Mr. Bergey sustained fatal injuries in the accident. An unidentified minor passenger sustained injuries and was transported to CHI St. Vincent’s Hospital.
