4-Vehicle Collision on Asher in LR Proves Fatal
66-year-old Billy J. Yates (Fountain Hill, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Wednesday, September 27, 2023.
At approximately 12:50 p.m. Mr. Yates was traveling south on U.S. 425 in Drew County when his vehicle crossed the centerline. A northbound 18-wheeler (2022 Freightliner) “swerved into the northbound ditch to avoid a collision” but Mr. Yates’ truck (2008 Ford F150) struck the rear axle of the 18-wheeler. Mr. Yates sustained fatal injuries in the collision.
