18-year-old Christopher Elijah Gutierrez (Fayetteville, AR) and 19-year-old Atalaya Camilla Thompson (Fayetteville, AR) were fatally injured in an accident that took place on Monday, May 6, 2019.

Shortly after 11:30 p.m. Mr. Gutierrez and Ms. Thompson were traveling north on Old Wire Road at a high rate of speed. Their vehicle (2007 Infinity) left the road to the east in a construction area near East Stewart Street and collided with a John Deere front loader parked in a gravel area off of Old Wire Road.

Mr. Gutierrez was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident. Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
