Child Fatally Injured While Walking Across Highway 167

An unidentified male minor was fatally injured in an accident that took place on Friday, July 5, 2019.

At approximately 9:44 p.m. the minor, who was a pedestrian, was walking south along Highway 167 just north of Batesville when he attempted to cross the highway and was struck by a southbound 2018 GMC Sierra.

Conditions were rainy and wet at the time of the accident.
