Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Gurdon on Thursday

36-year-old Chessland Ward Fensler (Gurdon, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Thursday, March 19, 2026.

At approximately 10:39 p.m. Mr. Fensler was reportedly “walking in the eastbound lane” of State Highway 53 near Sloan Road in Gurdon when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle (2022 Jeep Cherokee). Mr. Fensler sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
