Highway 72 Accident Claims One Life, Injures Two

41-year-old Cheryl VicNair (Springdale, AR) was fatally injured in an accident on Monday, June 14, 2021.

At approximately 9:35 p.m. Ms. VicNair was a passenger in a vehicle traveling west on Highway 72 just east of Pea Ridge. Ms. VicNair’s vehicle (2005 Mazda 6) crossed the centerline and left the roadway to the south before hitting a fence. The vehicle became airborne after striking a culvert, then spinning and rolling until it came to a final rest in the southside ditch of Highway 72.

40-year-old David Crow (Springdale, AR) and 46-year-old Michael Dattelo (Springdale, AR) both sustained injuries in the accident. Those injured were transported to Northwest Medical Center.

Conditions were reportedly clear and dry. The accident took place near Miser Road.
