Both Drivers Fatally Injured in Head-on Highway 9 Collision

53-year-old Catherine Flowers (Center Ridge, AR) and 44-year-old Richard Howk (Bentonville, AR) were both fatally injured in an accident that took place on Friday, December 27, 2019.

An unidentified male minor was also injured in the accident.

Shortly after 7:30 a.m. Ms. Flowers was driving south on Highway 9 north of Solgohachia. Mr. Howk was driving north on Highway 9 when his vehicle (2007 Hyundai) crossed the centerline and struck Ms. Flowers’ vehicle (2015 Nissan) head-on.

Weather conditions were foggy and road conditions dry at the time of the accident.
