Wrong Way Vehicle on I-40 Leads to Fatal Wreck
20-year-old Isaac Reed Mendez (Clarksville, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that took place on Saturday, April 20, 2019.
Mr. Mendez was the driver of a 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser traveling west on County Road 2250 in Johnson County. 27-year-old Andres Corral (Clarksville, AR) was a passenger in the vehicle. At approximately 1:22 a.m. Mr. Mendez was traveling “at a high rate of speed” and failed to negotiate a right-hand curve. The vehicle left the roadway and overturned.
Andres Corral was transported with injuries to Johnson Regional Medical Center.
Conditions at the time of the accident were reportedly clear and dry.
