Maggie King Davis Biography

What do you wanna be when you grow up is something that you’re asked a lot and I really never knew how to answer. I think I always just knew I wanted to help people. My dad kind of always said I had the personality, of his little attorney. Something about when a nine year old makes a contract of when she is the legal age to be able to get social media according to her parents and holds them to it.

Fell in love with law from the very beginning as soon as I got to campus and it’s kind of a history from there. One of the most fulfilling things for me where I find a lot of value in my work is when I get to help with family. As a mother, maybe it’s just something that I, like, relate to, but working with parents that maybe their child has been in an accident, and they’re so concerned about their safety and their treatment and, you know, what’s gonna happen in this process that’s completely foreign to them. Just being able to hold their hand throughout the entire process, and just the relief that I can see in their eyes, and just their shoulders relaxing, and like their kid’s gonna be okay.

I feel that relief too. Like, hey, I did something good today. Like, this is a big thing for that family. I would say that’s one of my favorite things about work.
