Hot Springs Village Wreck on DeSoto Blvd Proves Fatal

81-year-old Barbara Bixler (Hot Springs Village, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that occurred on Thursday, November 28, 2019.

At approximately 3:19 p.m. Ms. Bixler was the passenger in a vehicle traveling west on DeSoto Boulevard in Hot Springs Village. Ms. Bixler’s vehicle (1999 Chevrolet Monte Carlo) left the roadway while attempting to navigate a curve. Ms. Bixler’s vehicle overcorrected reentering the roadway before once again leaving the roadway, becoming airborne and striking several small trees. The vehicle overturned while careening down a ravine.

Weather conditions were rainy and road conditions wet at the time of the accident.
