I-40 Sideswipe Leads to Driver's Death in Conway

48-year-old Demetres L. Cole (Conway, AR) was fatally injured in an accident that occurred on Sunday, August 11, 2019.

Shortly before 2:30 a.m. Mr. Cole was driving east on Interstate 40 when he attempted to pass a semi-truck (2020 Freightliner) traveling east on I-40. Mr. Cole’s vehicle (2005 Dodge Durango) sideswiped the 18-wheeler while attempting to take the 125 Exit in Conway.

Mr. Cole’s vehicle veered off the interstate to the right and struck a tree.

Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
