An unidentified minor and 48-year-old Brad King (Manila, AR) were both fatally injured in an accident on Friday, December 5, 2025.

At approximately 6:33 p.m. Mr. Brad King, of Manila, was traveling east on Highway 18 (US 78) near Lake City when his vehicle (2013 Ford) crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a westbound vehicle (2023 Volkswagen). Mr. King sustained fatal injuries in the collision.

An unidentified minor passenger in the westbound Volkswagen vehicle also sustained fatal injuries in the crash. Additionally, 18-year-old Kennedy Riggs (Blytheville, AR) sustained injuries in the accident. Four additional minor passengers in the Volkswagen vehicle were transported with injuries to NEA Hospital and St. Bernard’s Hospital in Jonesboro, AR.

After the initial head-on collision, a third westbound vehicle (2014 Toyota) struck the rear of the Volkswagen vehicle.

Conditions were reportedly clear and dry.
