73-year-old Patricia Diane Minga (Jonesboro, AR) and 78-year-old Kathryn Ann White (Hot Springs, AR) were fatally injured in an accident on Thursday, March 12, 2026.
At approximately 6:09 p.m., Ms. Patricia Minga and Ms. Kathryn White were both passengers in a vehicle (2019 Ford Ranger) traveling east on Hobson Avenue in Hot Springs. A 2019 Dodge Ram traveling south on 5th Street failed to stop at a stop sign and struck Ms. Minga and Ms. White’s vehicle. Both Ms. White and Ms. Minga sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
Additionally, the driver of Ms. Minga and Ms. White’s vehicle, 55-year-old Crystal Lynn Jacobs (Jonesboro, AR) sustained injuries in the collision.
50-year-old Lee A. Smith (Hot Springs, AR) was the driver of the Dodge vehicle and sustained injuries in the crash. Additionally, 40-year-old Sheena Schenkel (Hot Springs, AR) was the passenger in the Dodge vehicle and sustained injuries.
Those injured were transported to CHI St. Vincent’s Hospital and National Park Medical Center.
Conditions were reportedly clear and dry at the time of the accident.
