75-year-old Patrick Jay Spinks (Royal, AR) and 53-year-old John Calhoune McLean (Hot Springs, AR) were fatally injured in an accident on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.

At approximately 5:05 p.m. Mr. Patrick Spinks was traveling west on US Highway 270 in Garland County when his vehicle (2006 Lexus LS) lost control on wet roadways. Mr. Spinks’ vehicle crossed the centerline and collided head-on with an eastbound vehicle (2007 GMC Sierra).

Mr. John McLean was driving the eastbound GMC vehicle. Both McLean and Mr. Spinks sustained fatal injuries in the crash.

Road conditions were wet and weather conditions cloudy at the time of the accident.
